The organization was relying on a primitive legacy site that suffered from broken navigation, unprofessional styling, and failed to communicate their actual community impact. They needed a modern platform to host resources and manage a complex recurring event schedule. However, the existing static architecture was highly inefficient, forcing the team to execute manual code edits for every single schedule update or past-event archive.
1. "Content-as-Code" Event Engine: To eliminate database overhead and manual updates, we architected a serverless, JSON-driven event engine. This custom solution calculates recurring schedules and auto-archives past events entirely on the client side.
2. High-Performance SPA: We replaced the fragile static code with a modern Vue.js application hosted on Firebase, ensuring the site loads instantly with zero security vulnerabilities.
3. Immersive Media Overhaul: We executed a complete visual modernization, implementing responsive image optimization, embedded video integration, and a custom interactive carousel to drastically improve the user experience and communicate their mission effectively.
